A Polish model was brutally hacked to death and her body set alight and dumped, an inquest has heard.
Police investigating the death last summer of Beata Bryl, 23, have arrested 13 people but no-one has been charged with her murder.
Buckinghamshire Coroner Richard Hulett, sitting in Amersham, recorded a verdict of unlawful killing.
Miss Bryl's burning corpse was found by a passer-by in woods at Wooburn Common, Buckinghamshire, on 29 July, 2006.
'Pain and grief'
Her scalp had been smashed open and hacked at least 21 times with a heavy weapon, which has never been found.
Before joining her Polish boyfriend in Britain in 2003, Miss Bryl had worked as a model in Germany. She was later employed in London as a waitress.
Det Insp Colin Seaton said: "This was one of the most violent attacks I have seen."
A statement from Miss Bryl's mother Maria said: "My daughter planned her future here and I did not know her journey would end so tragically.
"There is so much pain and grief in my heart. I do not think it will ever go away for the rest of my life."
