NDLEA foils bid to traffic drug with Bible

THE National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has foiled the exportation of cocaine to Germany inside a Bible, as it intercepted a parcel brought to the United Parcel Services in Lagos.
In a statement sent to our correspondent on Thursday, the Public Relations Officer, NDLEA, Mr. Ofoyeju Mitchell, said that one Chukwudi Stanley Okeke brought the parcel to the Tinubu Square office of UPS in Lagos.
It further said, “The parcel which was suspected by operatives of the agency at the Gbagada office of UPS was intercepted on July 16, 2007. Immediately after the detection, the officers commenced investigation into the case with the cooperation of the courier service to detect the sender. The suspect, Chukwudi, 40 years of No. 33, Ijale Street, Agric Ikorodu Lagos sent the parcel to one Paschal Eneh, a Nigeria based in Germany.”
