Mystery Grips Kono,TOGO
Father of the victim informed the New Citizen in Kono that he was taken aback when he saw his son emerging from the bush with blood oozing down his legs only to later realize that his son had severed his penis for no justifiable reason.
When questioned about the other half of his penis, Sahr Yonnie responded, “it is in the bush over there.” His father raised alarm that attracted the attention of neighbours who flocked at the scene to behold the incredible sight.
While some of the neighbours rushed Sahr to the Koidu hospital others mobilized a search party that went into the bush in search of the detached penis, an exercise that ended in futility.
Asked whether Sahr was mentally deranged, his parents replied in the negative, “he is quite a healthy young man who had never indulged in acts of violence.”
Reports gathered at the scene suggested that Sahr Yonni may be impotent, a worrisome development that may have caused him to cut off his penis.
However, Sahr Yonni’s wife clarified that that was not the case arguing that they have been married for more than a decade and that the union is blessed with children.
Sahr Yonni, who was bleeding profusely and unconscious, is reported to be responding to treatment.
