How To Win Your War Against Depression
The show began with the women pro dancers hitting the stage to the song She’s A Lady! They were beautiful in their black gowns and their moves were smokin’ HOT! The women stars were dancing either a Salsa or a Vienesse Waltz tonight before they broke out into the relay round.
Actress Debi Mazar was dancing with Maxim Chemerkovskiy this season. She was hoping that she could dance as well as she could talk. She looked a little clumsy and looked at the floor often in their routine tonight. Len said that Debi was missing the leg and hip action, Bruno told Debi that she could work the bosums very well, but her timing was all over the place. Carrie Ann said that she thought it was tougher for the girls to come out the second night and gave her credit for going first, but she thought that Debi was all over the place in her routine. They received 6, 5, 5 a score of 16.
How To Win Your War Against DepressionMelissa Joan Hart joins Mark Ballas this season as partners and tonight they were second to dance their routine. I loved her in her role as Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Melissa was most worried about making a fool of herself and falling over, but her posture seemed to be giving her problems in the Viennese Waltz. She had beautiful lines and her steps were so very graceful. She had the audience in a trance. Bruno said that her dance was prim and proper, but lacked elegance. Carrie Ann said that Melissa created a few moments tonight, but she was a bit choppy and Len said that the routine was too sweet and sickly for him, but her feet looked good. Their scores tonight were triple 6’s an 18.

The third couple to dance tonight was the award winning recording artist and actress Mya and her partner Dmitry Chaplin. Mya felt that Dmitry was the perfect partner for her because he is cute and she had watched him dance on the show last season. She said that she was just going to go out there and try to remember everything Dmitry taught her tonight. Their Viennese Waltz was fun and more technical than Melissa’s. The turns were fantastic. They received a standing ovation from the crowd! Carrie Ann said, “Way to set the bar tonight!” Len said that he was in a bit of a predicament because he thought that the technique was not that of a Viennese Waltz. Bruno argued saying, “It was artistry in motion and the girl was magnificent.” Their scores were 8, 5 and 8 a score of 21 for this evening…so much for Len the iron pants judge!
How To Win Your War Against DepressionModel Kathy Ireland was happy to be dancing on Dancing With The Stars this season to get herself moving. Her partner this season is Tony Dovolani. This could be the first dud dancer of the season as Kathy wasn’t even able to count the beats and keep up with the music. They danced the Salsa tonight and she wasn’t as stiff and uncoordinated as I expected, but she wasn’t that great either. Len said that her routine lacked any energy and was far too careful. Bruno said that she didn’t sell the dance and Carrie Ann said that Kathy had great posture, but had to learn to let go and loosen up…Bruno chimed in that he likes a loose woman! They received 6, 5, 5 a score of 16.

Olympic Gold medalist in swimming Natalie Coughlin was dancing with Alec Mazo this season and tonight they were performing a Salsa. She had to work on her concentration face and turn it into a smile. Now was the time to sink or swim and tonight she swam for her life. She lacked some hip movement and did really need to smile more, but she is cute. Bruno said that she could make it here on the show, but sometimes she freezes mid performance. Carrie Ann said that she knows how to use her muscles and felt that Natalie is a diamond in the rough. Len said that he was in the land of the bewildered as he isn’t seeing the sexy and steamy of the Salsa…it is all too placed. Their scores from the judges were 7, 6 and 6 a healthy 19.
How To Win Your War Against DepressionGrammy winner is dancing with Jonathan Roberts and tonight their first dance was the Viennese Waltz. She is currently on tour, so her dancing schedule has been hectic. You could tell by her dancing that she didn’t have much time to practice. Carrie Ann said that the routine was fascinating as she has a natural genuineness to her, Len said that if he were at home he would be voting for her and Bruno said it was like watching a child taking its’ first steps…she does need to work on her technique. They received 5, 4 and 5 after their dance a score of 14.
